2012-05-14 : Business Researcher of the Year goes to Kim Halskov
Kim Halskov recieves FUHU price
CAVI┤s Kim Halskov was on May 9th awarded with the title of "┼rets Ervervsforsker" (Business Researcher of the Year), the FUHU Price.
The price commitee emphasized the unique interaction between business and research that has made CAVI (Center for Advanced Visualization and Interaction) one of the leading research facilities in design of interactive IT solutions.
Among the many excellent research and communication projects, two projects especially have been valuable to the innovation and competitiveness of the Danish businesses.
One of them is the interactive LEGO table, which is a good example of digital product presentation in the retail trade. It was developed for the launch of LEGO┤s Bionicle line and is beside CAVI a collaboration with the Alexandra Institute.
The other is a research project CAVI developed in collaboration with the studio BIG, Martin Professional and Kollision. It is the fašade of the Danish pavilion at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, which became one of the most visited pavilions.
The project contributed to research in media architecture and the collaboration has led to development of media facades as a new area of research with the involved businesses.
The price was presented on May 9th by H.K.H. Prince Joachim.
